Proposals are invited from the professionals in interior design and computer networking for the following works/service at the office of the Commissioner of Central Excise, opp.Gandhi Statue, Beach Road, Pondicherry.

1. A hall (20x20) in the first floor of the annexe building is required to be converted as computer section that will have optimum number of terminal points with smaller space for each terminal. The furniture and electrical points should be provided accordingly. The hall will have to be air-conditioned. Electrical system will be supported by Online UPS and suitable points / cables need to be provided after study of existing wiring. The entire work of converting the room into computer centre will be treated as single order and accordingly work will be issued to a single vendor.

2. New flooring in the existing computer section is to be provided. Suitable choice is invited. This work will be issued as a different work order.

Proposals without cost work-out from the vendors/professionals should reach the Superintendent, Computer Section of this office on or before 19th May 2008 (extended upto 9th June-08). Site may be visited before the proposal is presented. After study of proposals, formal quotations will be invited for selection of vendor.
